The National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) reports that in 2024, “Our country is experiencing record suicide and overdose rates, and more people than ever are seeking mental health services”, (Hannah Wesolowski, NAMI’s Chief Advocacy Officer).
According to the NAMI 2023 Trends in Access to Mental Health Care State Policy. “there are many barriers to accessible, comprehensive and affordable mental health care, and studies routinely show that less than half of adults with mental illness receive treatment in a given year. Many people experience financial barriers to mental health treatment, and concern about the cost of treatment is one of the most common reasons given by people with mental health conditions who feel that they need treatment but do not receive it. Even for individuals who have health insurance, the costs of accessing mental health care are higher than for other types of medical care.”
We seek to make therapy accessible by serving as in-network providers for many insurance companies, and through our Helping Hands Program, which provides scholarships (as available) to help in covering the cost of therapy for those in need.
